Nervous system regulation starts with feeling safe in your body and your energy field. This guide provides foundational practices to help you establish safety, ground your body, and begin your journey toward nervous system regulation.

Stage 1: Establishing Your Energy Field

Understanding Your Energy Field

Your energy field is your first line of defense and your primary tool for feeling safe. When your field is strong and clear, your nervous system can relax.

Stop Energetic Leaks

Cut off energy to people, places, or things that make you feel:

How to tell if you have an energy leak: If you feel depleted after being with someone or doing something, that's an energy leak. Cut it off as much as physically possible.

Once you're solid and grounded, you may be able to reintroduce these people, but you probably won't want to if they're not doing the work on their end.

Get Out in Nature

Nature stabilizes and grounds your nervous system. This is what she does. Get fresh air and the energy from nature as often as possible.

Stage 2: The Chakra System

Your chakras are spinning wheels of energy that need to be active, open, and their appropriate colors. When balanced, they support your entire system.

Stage 3: Body Work

Once your energy field is established, your body can be grounded through somatic healing practices.

Physical Foundation

Stage 4: Affirmations & Programming

Programming your output is how you get control of your reality. This is repeating an affirmation for 10 minutes straight at least once a day.

How to Practice

  1. Choose an affirmation that moves you forward
  2. Repeat it for 10 minutes straight, at least once a day
  3. Commit to this for 2 weeks

Example affirmations:

Mental discipline is required. Some people don't want to do this because they like their misery. If you don't like your misery and want to change it, commit 10 minutes a day for two weeks.

Stage 5: Working with the Divine

Once you're grounded and safe in your body and energy field, you can work with loving ancestors, loving guides, and Planet Earth for additional support.

Start with Planet Earth

When you work on your energy field and body and are really grounded and safe, you realize that Earth has been supporting you this whole time.

Working with Mantras

You can work with mantras from Hindu cosmology to deepen your practice. I like to work with different loving guides and ancestors at different times.

Look for mantras that fit your situation. You can connect with loving guides and ancestors through prayers and other practices. Start with Planet Earth—when we work on our energy field and our bodies and really are grounded and safe in where we are and how we exist, then we can realize that Earth has been supporting us this whole time.

She guides us toward the next loving guide or ancestor to work with—they are all part of her frequency. Everything comes from her.

Putting It All Together

Daily Practice Sequence

  1. Morning: Energy field check, stop any leaks, get outside if possible
  2. Affirmation practice (10 minutes)
  3. Throughout the day: Stay hydrated, move your body, maintain boundaries
  4. Evening: Check in with your energy field, release what you don't need
